Commercial Aquaponics is a much more advanced form of farming.  Large tanks of fish are fed by a rotating auto feeder.  The fish are harvested and sold, and the young are reared seperately.

Large Green Houses cover long rows of floating vegetables, fed by a recirculating stream of water that is pumped through the plants and return to the fish tank.

In large commercial Aquaponic farming, sensors control the air and water temperatures, as well a regularly test the water quality and PH and Amonia levels.

Green Houses are recommended for any Aquaponic growing of a substantial size. Aquaponic growing prevents the use of any such pesticides or chemicals, leaving the plants vulnerable to pest infestation. Any pest control substances that might be applied to the plants would contaminate the water that is then recirculated back to the fish tank and may harm the fish. The Fish are the most important factor in a successful Aquaponic Farm.
